Students & Scholars: Prof. Barry Kozak, 11/14/13

The Forgotten Rule of Professional Responsibility: Representing a Client With Diminished Capacity

Thursday, November 14 at 12:15 pm in room 1202

How do you determine whether a client has full mental capacity? How should you interact with a client with diminished capacity? What if a client’s capacity diminishes in the course of representation?

The Louis L. Biro Law Library invites you to join us for pizza and a talk by Prof. Barry Kozak on these issues as part of our Scholars & Students series. This series provides opportunities for you to get to know your professors in an informal setting and to learn what they are working on outside of the classroom.

On Thursday, November 14, meet with Prof. Kozak, whose teaching focuses on elder law in a variety of contexts, as well as federal income tax and corporations. Prof. Kozak is the director of John Marshall’s Elder Law Programs, and has previously worked in a variety of legal and financial capacities.

Lunch will be served. To RSVP,  send an email to pjohnso@jmls.edu.
